About me
David Brooks is currently a Global Chief Engineer for Electric Propulsion at General Motors located in Michigan.
Throughout his career, he was Director of Global Propulsion Systems R&D for GM, Global Powertrain Quality for GM, Director of Ricardo Inc. Engines Group, led global teams for Tier 1 suppliers: Bosch, Siemens VDO and Continental for system development and manufacturing of gasoline and diesel fuel injection systems, engine controller hardware and software.
For more than 25 years, Dave has worked with various OEM’s, including diesel and gasoline passenger vehicles, heavy duty diesel commercial, Unmanned aircraft, combustion for natural Gas engines, power generators, diesel rail and electrified vehicles.
He received both his degrees in Industrial Design Engineering BSc(HONS). and Smart Carbon Fiber Composite Materials PhD. at Brunel University of West London, UK.
