About me
Doug Monieson is CEO of UICO, a Chicago-based manufacturer of rugged industrial touch screens and Beringea portfolio company. Doug has extensive board experience in governance, nominating and strategy for profit and non-profit organizations.
He is Chairman Emeritus of Hyde Park Angels, one of the country’s largest and most active angel groups where he has invested in 60+ Midwest startups. He serves as a Trustee for Illinois Institute of Technology in Bronzeville and is a Board Member and Treasurer of the non-profit Rails-to-Trails Conservancy’s (RTC) and is redeveloping the old Kenwood L Line on the southside into a bike and walking trail.
Doug is an avid cyclist, commuting between his home and office. He lives in Chicago with his wife Leslie and has two grown children, Aaron and Sarie.
