About me
Emily Baker, originally from Washington, DC, commenced her professional journey on Capitol Hill, where she served in various capacities for Members of Congress involved in energy and environmental committees.
Subsequent to her tenure on Capitol Hill, she transitioned to lobbying roles with the Solar Energy Industries Association and the Semiconductor Equipment & Materials International. Her career further advanced as she dedicated 12 years to the National Venture Capital Association, where she held the position of Vice President of Federal Affairs and Political Advocacy. During her time there, she established the Cleantech Advocacy Council, underscoring her commitment to sustainable energy initiatives.
For over six years, Emily has been part of Argonne National Laboratory's Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) team. In her capacity as DOE Liaison, she collaborates with the Department of Energy's Office of Public Affairs, the Office of Science, and various program offices to enhance the visibility and impact of Argonne's work among its stakeholders.
