EcoCAR EV Challenge Year 3 Competition

Magaly Soto-Arce is the Global Engineering Operations Manager for the Battery Electric Truck, Software and Innovation Portfolios. In this role she develops business cases, manages budgets, estimates engineering workload and demand. Her career at General Motors started as an intern before joining the company in 2008. Since then, she served as a Design Release Engineer and Global Lead for Tire and Wheel Systems, Senior Buyer for Chassis Systems, Vehicle Systems Engineer for Chassis/Powertrain Integration, Manager for the Vehicle Engineering and the Global Product Development TRACK and EXCEL programs. Magaly started supporting the EcoCAR Women in STEM competition as a judge in 2020 and as the Event Captain since 2021. Magaly holds an M.Eng. in Global Automotive and Manufacturing from the University of Michigan, a Graduate Certificate in Design from Stanford University, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico.
