As Chief Commercial Officer at DCC Marketing, Nate drives external business development, leveraging his extensive network of executive-level relationships across industries, government agencies, and policymakers. Throughout his career, he has played a critical role in securing major public and private funding for transportation and infrastructure projects, shaping national and state-level policies, and leading high-profile media and public relations efforts. His expertise includes government relations, contract negotiations, public affairs, and large-scale operational strategy for transportation systems.
Nate has extensive experience managing large fleet operations, overseeing more than 300 daily route vehicles in urban environments, and leading ADA-compliant accessible transportation programs to improve mobility solutions. He was instrumental in re-routing and optimizing the entire transportation system for Detroit Public Schools. In government relations and public affairs, he served as Senior Vice President of Commercial Development at Lion Electric, where he led government relations efforts to secure funding for fleet modernization projects. He has successfully negotiated funding and incentive programs with federal and state agencies, including the Department of Transportation (DOT), Environmental Protection Agency, California Energy Commission, and Department of Energy (DOE), advocating for transportation and workforce development initiatives.
With a proven track record in securing over $1 billion in federal and state funding for transportation, workforce training, and infrastructure development, Nate has been instrumental in developing public-private partnerships (P3s) between state governments, industry stakeholders, and private investors. He has advised on regulatory frameworks to modernize transportation systems and workforce pipelines, ensuring alignment between government policies and industry needs.
