Ralph attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, graduating in 1981 with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. He started his career at Smith & Wesson, where he progressed from Manufacturing Engineering to Product Design. He earned an MBA from Western New England College in 1986. Ralph’s 33 years of Automotive experience began at Titeflex Corporation where as a Product Engineer, he developed reinforced hoses of extruded PTFE (Teflon®) for hydraulic brake and liquid fuel applications. He was then embedded into the Sales and Marketing group as the Automotive Technical Manager. He is a Co-Inventor of U.S. Patent 5430603 A “Externally Non-Conductive Hose Assembly”. Ralph joined Judd Wire in 2008 as the Design and Commercialization Engineer to coordinate the activities to launch new or improved wire and cable products for the Automotive market. He then became a Senior Design and Applications Engineer. Ralph is presently a Senior Automotive Technical Specialist. His focus is on product development, spec-in and business generation with the Detroit OEMs, as well as at Judd Wire’s Tier 1 customers.
Ralph represents Judd Wire as a voting and contributing member of the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Cable Standards Committee and as a contributing member of the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Electrical and Electronic Components Committee U.S. Technical Advisory Group (USTAG).
