About me
Sharon Pekar began her career at Altec in 2017 at the Mount Airy, NC facility. She joined the team as a Manufacturing Engineer after graduating from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. In early 2021, she transitioned into a Technical Sales role where she was responsible for converting customer requirements into a detailed work order used to engineer and produce the equipment. In 2022 she took a position as a Project Manager within New Product Engineering where she has ran multiple projects of varying sizes with numerous engineering teams. The most recent of which was a next generation control system for an Altec aerial. Her primary product group is overhead cable handling equipment used for the stringing of utility lines for the transmission and distribution sectors.
