About me
Tom is currently working as a Systems Application Engineering with Infineon Technologies in Livonia, Michigan. Over the past 35 years, Tom has worked at several levels of the automotive electronics "food chain" (OEM, T1, and T2) with a specific focus on automotive sensors and RF/wireless applications. Tom holds more than 30 patents related to automotive sensors, RF communication, vehicle security, and occupant safety. For the past 20 years at Infineon, Tom has supported automotive customers with his expertise in low-power RF sensing systems, mmWave radar, WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity, and Car Access and Security. He is certified in both ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434. Tom received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and an M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Wayne State University. He is a licensed amateur radio operator (NR8P) and enjoys tinkering with electronics when not repairing his 100+ year old house or spending time with his family.
