EcoCAR EV Challenge Year 3 Competition

Lucas Shoults is the Technical Project Manager for AVTCs at Argonne National Laboratory. Originally from Irvine, CA and he has a Bachelor and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, graduating in 2013 and 2016 respectively. While at Virginia Tech, he participated in EcoCAR 2 as a Mechanical subteam member and Project Manager, then Team Leader for the first two years of EcoCAR 3.

From Lucas: "My goal as an individual, whether working in technical or more project management, is to work alongside others to solve global challenges with sustainability and energy independence.

I also have a passion for people over products, mentoring over management, and education over economics. I am currently working toward these goals by supporting the EcoCAR program which aims to train the next generation of automotive engineers by giving them a unique and unparalleled experience working with production level advanced vehicle technologies.
